Abigail Diehl

Meet Abigail Diehl, a Marylander whose presence in the Annapolis community has been nothing short of transformative. For over four decades, Abigail has been an integral part of the state's fabric, she’s proud to call Annapolis home.

Growing up working at the family business, Diehl's Produce, a beloved local fresh seasonal market in Severna Park, Abigail has cultivated a profound connection to healthy food and a strong passion for supporting local farmers. Abigail's journey reflects a deep commitment to positive change, especially in the realm of agriculture including cannabis, hemp, and other plant medicine.

Diehl's Produce Annapolis stands as a beacon of community connection. One market located in Eastport and another off Forest Drive in Annapolis, this local fresh produce business, operating seven days a week April thru December, reflects Abigail's commitment to bridging the gap between farmers and consumers, providing quality products, and fostering a sense of community.

As a serial entrepreneur, Abigail has left an indelible mark on the local business landscape. From founding and operating Diehl's Produce in Eastport to establishing Sunny C’s LLC and the innovative West Street Strategies, Abigail's endeavors extend beyond business—they are a testament to her dedication to contributing to Maryland's prosperity in diverse ways.

Abigail's professional cannabis journey started in Maryland when the medical cannabis program first launched in 2015. Nicknamed “The Wolf” she helped oversee the entire build out and operations of MariMed’s vertical licenses in the state. Moving on to investor/government relations and working directly with her mentor and CEO, Bob Fireman, until he passed away last year. She now also serves as the Founder/CEO of Sunny C’s LLC, and Founder of Sunshine Connect LLC. Abigail has demonstrated leadership and expertise in navigating the complex landscape of the cannabis industry.

Abigail's advocacy for Maryland’s Local Hemp Farmers is driven by a genuine concern for the undue challenges faced by the industry. Her stance on critical issues demonstrates a commitment to finding solutions that contribute to the success of farmers across the country in this challenging agricultural climate.

As Abigail continues to lead initiatives that shape the future of agriculture, conservation, and food security for the people of Maryland, her character shines through—a beacon of integrity, passion, and dedication to community well-being.
